Lest start, figure out the product that you’re going to sell. And maybe, you want to over-complicate everything because we all want to build something fascinating. But we needed to start with something basic. Something that we can sell tomorrow. Build a basic landing page and begin to interact with other people.
Maybe you are good at creating, designing, or even making cake, accessories, etc. Many of us have hobbies. What we often don’t realize is that most of those pastimes have the potential to provide an income afterward. Original and unique products such as handmade jewelry, woodwork, clothes, toys, and paintings or the service given with your knowledge are the endless possibilities for the market. Why don’t you make it come true? The money you get from selling your handmade stuff provides a supplement to your primary income. I hope you want to sell something that was created by you, or you serve something with your knowledge because I am not good at buying and selling business.

“Start Selling Online.” Let me make it clear.
Actually, it isn’t as difficult as you think. As a young beginner, an entrepreneur, I made these mistakes years ago. I felt like that: Oh, I can not roll out the product tomorrow. I need a set down like really write down a business plan and calculate everything. And then maybe create a great web site. I should talk to my friends and pitch my idea. Because before rolling it out to the market, I need to make sure it’s perfect. Perfectionism, however, that was my sin.
Please don’t do that. The problem is you might spend a year to build something. You might design something, working on something, and then you roll it out to the market. And the market told us: “We don’t need that!”
I never needed that because sometimes I come up with terrible ideas, or sometimes I am trying to solve the problem that only my experience. So let us go ahead together, roll it out to the market here. All the bad words about your idea before, we will change it. I believe that this is the best way to build a great online store.
Act fast, start as soon as possible. Do not spend over your budget.
You don’t have to go and hire an expensive developer. You don’t need to have much knowledge because we will make everything without writing one line of code. Just click, fill in the blanks, or drag and drop. There are so many tools online that we can use. I love to use WooCommerce to build an online store. And now it takes me one day to build a web site.

I wanted to act fast, as I mentioned to you. I wasn’t waste my time, and I was not overthinking. I bought the domain name and a managed WP hosting. And here we are! I started making this site about a week ago. I haven’t started selling yet. But I will start as soon as possible because I started spending my time, my money.

Let us continue with my story, and I want to give you some examples. There were so many things that I could do, and I started writing posts. I started collecting people’s emails or phone numbers. Now you are here, and you are reading one of those posts. What I am trying to explain to you is please start today.
Go with your passion. Build your community.
Don’t you have an idea yet? If you don’t know when you’re going to start, start like me. Don’t you have your community? Start building one. I know so many bloggers who are making hundreds of dollars a month. Because they all have a great community that they created, and they have followers who like their contents. Lots of them are great entrepreneurs, but the community came first.
So you should start building a community around yourself. If you’re a professional at something, maybe you are a designer, writer, illustrator. Perhaps you’re a chef, photographer there so many things you’re probably doing. Start sharing your knowledge with your community. You can do it on Instagram.
Instagram is the most comfortable platform to start, but it has less organic reach. YouTube is a little more robust in terms of like you need to edit videos and stuff, but it offers incredible organic traffic. There are so many platforms. Please decide to use a few of them which are comfortable for you.
Start something now; start building your community. And imagine if in six months you have a thousand people following you. You already have your potential customer base to whom you can market, with whom you can test your ideas, whom you can create a focus group. If I created this product or that service would you buy it? And they will give you instant feedback, and it’s going to be free. You wouldn’t have to pay for it. So start building your community now!
It’s all like creating personal social accounts, but it’s a prolonged period in the beginning. So just be ready for that. And again, you don’t need some extraordinary knowledge. You just need to be passionate about what you do.
Start using your social accounts!
Your community allows you to build everything. A profile for all of the potential followers and materials they can follow. There are so many things that you could do with that, but it’s a little on the pricier side. Start collecting people’s emails. You’re going to thank me for that because when we started, we’re just going to be selling a product because that’s the end goal, am I right?
But the thing is, you’re going to start paying for ads. You’re going to start paying for influencer product placements, and you don’t want to lose that money. You would build the business in a way that the first step you’re collecting an email or a phone number. The next step, you sell something cheaper. And the third step, you upsell them to something more expensive more useful. And collecting emails is a crucial point. What I use is to get a response is creating an automated email campaign.
The automated email campaigns are that something happened on different events and different dates when somebody signed up. Perhaps one email will go out at that point, another will go out two days later, with one more going out the next month. There’s an email somebody bothers an email somebody didn’t buy. There’s another email you can build all of those different schemes and stuff.
Interact with your community, don’t spend too much money on ads.
If we invested a hundred thousand even a week, it would have taken us years to get that money back. So let us keep it simple. This way, unit economics are probably going to work. And you can always raise your price. Start your Facebook ads, you see that unit economics works, that you are spending less money than you’re making.
You can start raising your price until the demand is still there. Start a Facebook campaign, start targeting people who already joined your community focus the people of the same interests as your followers.
For example, you’re starting to sell handcrafted wooden stuff. Go ahead and start searching the biggest community related to that subject. And target their followers. Facebook, YouTube, Google allows you to do that. And of course, you should retarget who visited your site.
The other ways are influencers. If you know some influencers, you can always just follow them on Instagram or just shoot them an email that you want to collab. That is how influencers make money, so they want to collab with you. It just depends on whether their prices are reasonable or not.

I know sometimes we all think like, oh my God, I’m not ready yet. I don’t have that kind of experience. I haven’t studied economics. I must do my MBA first and then maybe I have an idea of starting a business. Come on, you don’t have to do an MBA, or you don’t have to do a master’s degree in economics to start a company.
You just need a great idea, passion, and you need this mindset. You need to be ready. You need to be prepared to risk, to dedicate your time, to spend your time for free, because you should work for free for the first couple of years. Perhaps we might wait three months for the first client.
The goal of your business is to make money.
We will never stop, go on figure out how you’re going to collect payments because guess what? The goal of your business is to make money.
Step by step, day by day, we will learn together. Every single action we discussed, every solution that we found we will continue to the next level.
It doesn’t matter having an idea or not. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t a company yet. In the beginning, you should need a lot of technical support. You need a lot of moral support and marketing.
